Fecal Egg Count

With growing concerns of parasite resistance to dewormers, we are recommending that all of our clients consider incorporating fecal egg counts into their parasite control programs. Fecal egg counts involve submitting fresh manure samples to our Port Perry location for evaluation by our trained staff using the McMaster fecal egg count technique. The results will be used to develop a program tailored to your farm and will determine if individual animals require deworming.

For the most accurate results, please ensure fecal samples are as fresh as possible, and refrigerate them until they can be brought to the office if they need to sit for a few hours.
